ABSTRACT
There is a paucity of data and belief that endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) has low efficacy for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in patients with cancer. We aimed to critically compare the clinical outcomes EVT AIS without cancer.Records all undergoing between January 2015 2020 were screened cancer at time EVT. Active was defined as who diagnosed or refused treatment Baseline modified Rankin Scale (mRS), age sex used 1:5 propensity score matching ratio. After we evaluated any change National Institutes Health Stroke (NIHSS) from baseline discharge, hemorrhagic transformation (HT), 90-day mRS mortality. There 19 95 matched controls. The mean±SD 70.89±11.16 years, 17 (89.47%) female. NIHSS 22±7.5 1 (IQR 1). no significant difference discharge NIHSS, mortality; 0-2 45.2% non-cancer group versus 46.7% (p=0.54). HT significantly higher (57.89% vs 6.49%, p<0.001).In analysis cancer, functional mortality similar. However, there rate patients.
