Early diffusion weighted imaging and expression of heat shock protein 70 in newborn pigs with hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy

ABSTRACT
To establish a cerebral hypoxia ischaemic model in piglets and to explore the early diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) as well expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) with hypoxic encephalopathy (HIE).Twenty four 3 day old were permanently ligated common carotid arteries bilaterally ventilated 3% oxygen for 30 minutes, their brains examined at three hours, six 24 hours after ischaemia T2 images images. Apparent coefficient (ADC) values measured HSP70 was detected central peripheral regions lesions.Abnormal signal intensity on DWI ADC maps groups. lesions rapidly decreased, whereas reduced prominently ischaemia. There significant differences (p<0.01) between lesions. The number positive cells low raised highest peak then decreased. statistical difference those (p<0.01).DWI may identify more lesions, improve conspicuity acute setting. can be used an objective measure injury. Tissue reversibility further reflected according information immunohistochemical staining.
