ABSTRACT
Objectives Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a severe extra-articular manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The objectives this study were to estimate mortality rate in patients with RA-ILD and identify factors affecting mortality. Methods Data from French national claims database (Système National des Données de Santé) 2013 2018 analysed. Adults an RA diagnosis (International Classification Diseases (ICD)-10 codes M05, M06.0, M06.8 M06.9) included. ILD was defined ICD-10 code J84. Mortality rates compared between without ILD, using Cox proportional hazards regression, after matching 1:1 for age, sex, age at onset duration. Results Among 173 132 RA, 4330 (3%) also had (RA-ILD). After matching, associated increased (HR 3.4, 95% CI 3.1 3.9). HR greater for: aged <75 years 4.8, 3.9 5.9) versus ≥75 3.0, 2.6 3.5); occurring before 8.4, 5.5 13.0) 2.9, 3.3); men 5.2, 4.4 6.2) women 3.6, 3.0 4.2). Conclusion In nationwide cohort study, (vs ILD), notably those years, whose preceded men.
