ABSTRACT
We conclude that the heat shock response is enhanced in juvenile compared with adult rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss . have shown magnitude of inducible response, as measured by increases protein (Hsp) Hsp70 significantly greater hearts fingerling than trout following an acute (1 h) stress at 25 °C. Juvenile fish also express higher levels constitutive Hsps (Hsc70, Hsp90) their tissues, possibly reflecting rates synthesis and increased chaperone function this early life stage. This robust may contribute to a thermal resistance often observed young salmonid fish.
