ABSTRACT
Fe-based amorphous alloys are important materials with a high potential for commercialization by evaluating their corrosion performances. In this work, Fe[Formula: see text]Cu 1 Nb 3 Si[Formula: text]B 9 alloy was chosen as target material to investigate the effects of addition C on properties an electrochemical method. Alloy ingots text]C[Formula: text]B[Formula: text] (x = 0, 1, 2, at.%) were prepared using arc melting system, under argon atmosphere. Planar flow melt spinning carried out obtain ribbons width [Formula: text][Formula: text]5 mm and thickness about 30 text]m. Effects into soft magnetic investigated in acidic solutions. Studies potentiodynamic polarization impedance revealed passivation ability resistance 0.1M H 2 SO 4 media at room-temperature. The showed excellent formation stable passive film. It can be obviously observed that significantly improves resistance.
