ABSTRACT
The theory of synergetic control was introduced in a power electronics context previous paper. In this paper we review the theory, then focus on comparison with sliding mode approach. Common elements and main differences are underlined illustrated through comparative simulation example. advantages that it is well-suited for digital implementation, gives constant switching frequency operation, better off-manifold dynamics. Finally, experimental results under transient conditions compared. Advanced laws adaptation presented discussed to show how exploit features control. example used throughout boost converter operating continuous conduction mode.
