The sunflower stem core is one kind of natural polymer material. Its structure presents obvious gradient from the center to outer part. This article mainly focuses on relationship between nature cell walls and mechanical properties core. recorded by universal testing machine; wall's chemical composition, cellulose crystallinity microfibril angle were measured using analysis method X-ray powder diffraction. Research shows that Young modulus part nearly 3 times more than part, while yield strength 2.5 main components are cellulose, hemicellulose lignin. amount those three about 70% total dry weight. contents in slightly different. difference quite small, which 41.39–41.49% 29.64–27.20%, respectively. Therefore, results suggested has little influence reason.
