ABSTRACT
This paper considers the problem of parameterizing triangular meshes that have tubular shapes. Unlike an open mesh is plane topological type, a gives rise to some special issues in parameterization due its structure. In this paper, we present edge based method, which edges rather than vertices are treated as target for parameterization. It improves cutting-based algorithms cut make it disk topologically. The cutting paths their zigzag shape leads suboptimal parameterizations and finding good usually very difficult. Our proposed method does not need mesh. first parameterizes on two boundaries mesh, then internal mean value coordinates, finally computes parameters vertices. Some examples provided demonstrate effectiveness our method.
