Towards more natural digital content manipulation via user freehand gestural interaction in a living room

Advances in dynamic gesture recognition technologies now make it possible to investigate freehand input techniques. This study tried understand how users manipulate digital content on a distant screen by hand interaction living room environment. While there have been many existing studies that techniques, we developed and applied novel methodology based combination of both an user elicitation conventional Wizard-of-Oz involved another non-technical for providing feedback. Through the study, useful issues implications making design more natural environment were generated which not covered previous works. Furthermore, could observe initial user-defined gestures are changed over time.
