ABSTRACT
This paper describes the design of a digital fork and mobile interactive persuasive game for young child who is picky eater and/or easily distracted during mealtime. The system employs Ubicomp technology to educate children on importance balanced diet while motivating proper eating behavior. To sense child's behavior, we have designed prototyped sensor-embedded fork, called Sensing Fork. Furthermore, developed story-book game, Hungry Panda, smartphone. capitalizes capabilities Fork interact with modify children's behavior We report results real-life study that involves mother-child subjects tested effectiveness Panda in addressing problems.
