ABSTRACT
Commercial buildings consume a large portion of the total electricity in United States. One method for energy saving commercial targets inefficiencies unoccupied spaces by relaxing setpoint temperature. However, savings are severely limited when occupants assumed to be "immovable objects"; instead, encouraging occupant participation optimization, much greater amount can achieved. In this work, we build on idea and introduce recommendations based location. We two types location: move recommendations, which recommends from one space another, shift schedule arrive or depart set time earlier later. To investigate effects introduced tightly coupled system composing simulator recommender system. Simulations our building testbed revealed that with occupancy-based HVAC management saves 25% more than alone.
