ABSTRACT
Computational thinking is considered a fundamental skill of children in the 21st century. In 2017, new national curriculum standards China included computational as core literacy students. this poster session, authors will introduce their research on developing Chinese elementary school students' skill. The have developed information technology course with focus thinking. uses convergent cognition theory theoretical framework. posits that learning computer programming affects mathematical and vice versa. environment Scratch. A group third grade students fourth are participants. Their math ability be measured to see whether develops effects exist. Examples from instructional materials presented part poster. also report preliminary results course's effectiveness
