ABSTRACT
Distributed embedded systems are pervasive components jointly operating in a wide range of applications. Moving toward energy harvesting powered enables their long-term, sustainable, scalable, and maintenance-free operation. When these used as an automatic control system to sense plant, availability limits when how often sensed data obtainable therefore updates can be performed. The time-varying non-deterministic harvested the necessity plan usage sensor nodes ahead time, on one hand, have balanced with dynamically changing complex demand for from plant thus usage, other hand. We propose hierarchical approach which resources managed long time horizon faster timescale, self-triggered model predictive controls plant. controller harvesting-based nodes’ schedules future incorporates constraints. For this novel combination systems, we derive provable properties terms correctness, feasibility, performance. evaluate double integrator demonstrate its usability performance room temperature air quality case study.
