ABSTRACT
Emerging electrochromic (EC) materials have advanced the frontier of thin-film, low-power, and non-emissive display technologies. While suitable for wearable or textile-based applications, current EC systems are manufactured in fixed, pre-designed patterns that hinder potential reconfigurable technologies desired by on-skin interactions. To realize customizable scalable skin wear, this paper introduces ECSkin, a construction toolkit composed modular films. Our approach enables designs customized arranging combinations premade modules. An ECSkin device can pixelate expand area through tessellating congruent We present fabrication flexible modules with accessible tools. performed technical evaluations to characterize performance conducted user verify toolkit's usability feasibility. Two example applications demonstrate adaptiveness on different body locations scenarios.
