ABSTRACT
We present EchScatter, a novel backscatter system that takes productive ZigBee signals as excitations and enables high-throughput communication. Compared with the existing backscatter, EchScatter does not need to control carrier, ensuring universality of transmitter. has realized chip-level modulation ambient for first time. It is capable transmitting more tag bits simultaneously, thus increasing throughput system. design 16 different 32-chip phase sequences realize translation any two symbols. Therefore, our can transmit four through one symbol. After that, we use an average energy detection-based synchronization method make sure error meets requirements modulation. prototyped using off-the-shelf FPGA commodity transceivers. Through extensive experiments field studies, show work universally on In line-of-sight non-line-of-sight scenarios, able achieve 247 kbps 245 at signal strength around -60 dBm, respectively. The 32 times higher than FreeRider. believe it will have pervasive applications.
