ABSTRACT
Symmetrical full cells, based on La 0.3 M 0.7 Fe Cr O 3- δ (M = Sr, Ca) perovskite oxide electrodes, were constructed, using a Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) electrolyte with Samaria-doped ceria (SDC) buffer layer, and then tested in range of fuel environments at 800 o C. It is demonstrated that the Ca analog (La 3-δ -LCFCr) an equally good electrode (anode) air (cathode) as Sr member this family (LSFCr), exhibiting very electrochemical performance H 2 , CO +CO atmospheres. LCFCr LSFCr anodes also evaluated presence 9 ppm S exposures, showing small, but reproducible reversible, decrease polarization resistance (Rp). Studies cell polarizations -100 -300 mV from open circuit voltage showed ca. 2-4 % increase current density + 30 recovering fully when was removed.
