ABSTRACT
We investigated the effects of PGC-1 α (peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ coactivator-1 ) overexpression on oxidative capacity human skeletal muscle cells ex vivo . increased oxidation rate palmitic acid and mRNA expression genes regulating lipid metabolism, mitochondrial biogenesis, function in myotubes. Basal insulin-stimulated deoxyglucose uptake were decreased, possibly due to upregulation PDK4 mRNA. Expression fast fiber-type gene marker (MHCIIa) was decreased. Compared , several genes, which downregulated during process cell isolation culturing. In conclusion, cultured myotubes by improving increasing involved regulation decreasing MHCIIa. These results suggest that therapies aimed at may have utility treatment obesity obesity-related diseases.
