A Gas Source Localization Algorithm Based on Particle Filter in Wireless Sensor Network

ABSTRACT
Gas source localization (GSL) is a critical component in wireless sensor network (WSN) which can be used to estimate the position of gas leaks through concentration measured by monitoring nodes. In this paper, we first derive diffusion model under windy conditions based on theory. Because nonlinearity conditions, traditional weighted centroid algorithm for produces very inaccurate estimation location. To address problem, propose novel combines method and particle filter. Simulation results validate effectiveness our unknown strength. Compared alone, shows higher accuracy Moreover, its convergence rate improved preestimation initial value.
