ABSTRACT
Frozen wall design theory is a key technique of the freezing method. However, previous theories for deep artificial frozen have neglected influence shaft flank displacement, that is, displacement inner boundary wall. Thus, associated designs tend to be unsafe and earthwork excavations underestimated. This study builds new thickness which considers large strain obtains solution formulas excavation radius before deformation occurs. The analytical results are compared with numerical calculation by analyzing influences various parameters, such as crustal stress, cohesion internal friction angle soil, unfrozen soil well elastic modulus ground, on displacement. indicate formula applicable up 0.2. can accurately calculate amount serves safer more reasonable theoretical support walls in ultradeep layers.
