ABSTRACT

Abstract
We introduce THRIVE (Tumor Heterogeneity Research Interactive Visualization Environment), an open-source tool developed to assist cancer researchers in interactive hypothesis testing. The focus of this is quantify spatial intratumoral heterogeneity (ITH), and the interactions between different cell phenotypes noncellular constituents. Specifically, we foresee applications phenotyping cells within tumor microenvironments, recognizing boundaries, identifying degrees immune infiltration epithelial/stromal separation, identification heterotypic signaling networks underlying microdomains. platform provides integrated workflow for analyzing whole-slide immunofluorescence images tissue microarrays, including algorithms segmentation, quantification, analysis. promotes flexible deployment, a maintainable code base using libraries, extensible framework customizing with ease. was designed highly multiplexed mind, and, by providing efficiently analyze high-dimensional signals, hope advance these data toward mainstream adoption research. Cancer Res; 77(21); e71–74. ©2017 AACR.
