ABSTRACT
Penetration of minocycline hydrochloride (MINO) into lung tissue and sputum was investigated. MINO (100 mg) intravenously infused over 30 min to 14 patients before surgery: the concentration determined in 16 samples which were collected between 0.25 5.0 h after infusion. The mean sample 2.92 ± 1.43 µg/g, tissue/plasma ratio 3.71 2.36. 60 twice daily 5 with a chronic respiratory disease for 3–7 days. serum on day 3. maximum 2.12 2.20 sputum/serum 0.56 0.47. showed little time-related variation remained as high 0.74 µg/g until 10 intravenous drip infusion about that oral administration at same dose. breakpoint 1.88 MINO, calculated by formula established Japan Society Chemotherapy.
