ABSTRACT
The effects of intragastric or intraduodenal instillation 12% (v/v) ethanol upon exocrine pancreatic secretion were assessed in 9 mongrel dogs provided with and gastric fistulae (Thomas cannula) submitted to a continuous intravenous injection GIH secretin (1.0 U/kg/h). experiments carried out on the same group either conscious state under very light fluothane anesthesia. Intragastric g/kg) anesthetized produced: (1) significant increase flow rate bicarbonate output equivalent one quarter effect obtained by adding 1.0 U/kg/h hormonal injection; (2) protein concentration third CHR unit CCK injection. Intraduodenal (0.7 only changed significantly but did not induce any modification animals. HCl (2.5 mmol) at end infusion revealed that intestinal mucosa was still able release CCK.
