ABSTRACT
<i>Background and Purpose:</i> Fournier’s gangrene (FG) is a rare, rapidly progressive, fulminant form of necrotizing fasciitis the genital, perianal perineal regions. Our aim to investigate clinical signs, symptoms factors which affect results patients with FG in our clinic. <i>Patients Methods:</i> 20 having were admitted department during past 6-year period. Age, gender, diabetes mellitus (DM), duration symptoms, severity index score (FGSIS), colostomy, hospitalization time number debridements investigated for their effects. <i>Results:</i> 13 male, 7 them female. The mean age was 52.2 years (range: 30–80 years). 85% had DM as predisposing factor. 19.7 days 6–45 days), overall mortality 20% (4 patients). Age FGSIS have been found be statistically significant among parameters studied. <i>Discussion:</i> still an important disease high rates spite developments intensive care units new-generation antibiotics. In conclusion, we that patient are most effecting factors.
