ABSTRACT
Aim: Helicobacter pylori-naïve gastric cancers(GCs) have not been well documented. We aimed to characterize early H. GCs. Subjects and Methods: Of 666 patients with GC resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection, were extracted according the definition: no pylori eradication history, negative for serum pylori-antibody current pylori-infection tests, atrophy pepsinogen (PG) test, endoscopy, histology. Results: It was found that 16 GCs pylori-naïve, classified into undifferentiated differentiated type adenocarcinoma. All 9 pale, depressed, mucosal pure signet ring cell adenocarcinoma except one of them 7 3 fundic gland 4 foveolar positive PG-1 cardia small tumor (SMT)-like protrusions dilated vessels on surface. composed dysplastic clear cells resembling epithelium, but mucin 6 (MUC6) MUC5AC. Endoscopically, all laterally spreading elevations papillary or villous Conclusions: infrequent at 2.5%, types: a pale depression adenocarcinoma, SMT-like protrusion GC, large elevation GC.
