Comparative analysis of intermittent and continuous energy restriction in obesity management

ABSTRACT
An alternative to continuous energy restriction in the medical nutrition treatment of obesity, which has come fore recent times, is called intermittent fasting. The aim this study compare effects (IER) and (CER) practices on body composition anthropometric measurements overweight first-degree obese individuals. comparison was conducted 34 people aged 19-64 between April September 2022. They had no health problems, applied a private institution providing consultancy. In study, participants were divided into two groups asked maintain IER or CER diet type for six weeks. When types compared terms parameters measurements, compositions, blood pressure initial final abdominal fat analysis, statistically significant difference found (pα, pβ>0.05). mean weight loss 3.95±1.94 kg 4.09±1.48 kg, respectively. similar. long-term efficacy safety time-restricted feeding still unclear.
