ABSTRACT
We describe the clinical and morphological patterns of restenosis after sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) implantation. From 121 patients with coronary angiography obtained >30 days SES implantation, (diameter stenosis >50%) was identified in 19 20 lesions (located at proximal 5-mm segment 30% or within 70%). Residual dissection procedure balloon trauma outside 83% edge lesions. Lesions were focal, discontinuity some evaluated by intravascular ultrasound.Sirolimus-eluting is frequently associated local stent. In-stent occurs as a localized lesion, commonly coverage. Local conditions instead intrinsic drug-resistance to sirolimus are likely play major role post-SES restenosis.
