ABSTRACT
Analysis of the cardiovascular manifestations caused by loss thoracic kyphosis has been incomplete. Accordingly, this study was designed to investigate physical signs and electrocardiographic, radiologic, hemodynamic, pulmonary ventilatory features skeletal defect. Twenty-three patients with straight spines in lateral chest x-rays were selected. Ratios anteroposterior transthoracic dimensions uniformly below a mean derived from 100 normal subjects. Cardiac included pulmonic ejection murmurs, palpable left parasternal systolic impulses, loud delayed sounds tricuspid valve closure, exaggerated respiratory splitting second heart sound, vertical electrical axes, rSr' patterns leads V 1 or aV R , radiologic prominence arteries, levodisplacement heart, "pancake" cardiac configuration simulating cardiomegaly, occasional alterations height contour right ventricular diastolic pressure pulse, an mild restrictive Differential diagnoses principally atrial septal defect, stenosis, idiopathic dilatation artery.
