ABSTRACT
To elucidate whether there is a difference in the progression of target-organ damage between primary aldosteronism and essential hypertension, we compared left ventricular hypertrophy extracardiac 23 patients with 116 hypertension. The severity hypertensive retinopathy renal involvement were subclinical similar to those hypertension without but significantly milder than hypertrophy. There was strongly significant correlation degree mass index independent office blood pressure In contrast, markedly progressed despite mild aldosteronism. Left end-diastolic dimension (3.16±0.50 cm/m 2 ) larger (2.87±0.23) (2.88±0.22) On other hand, no 13 eccentric 26 results suggest that predominantly volume load, be it due or mechanisms, resulting less likely cause hemodynamic nonhemodynamic mechanisms concentric
