In these analyses we describe traditional several new for Cerebrovascular Disease on participants as well a novel way create cohort. Methods: employed sample Congress neurology intends follow them prospectively. All were invited participate (n=1300). A survey lifestyle questions, clinical evaluations conducted at congress site, non-parametric descriptive statistics used. Results: (68.8% physicians) participated RIESGO, 18-83 years old mean 47.1(DE=13.9) 59% men. study, self-reported Diabetes (DM) 6.8% compared 20.1% using Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) diagnosis (>6.5%) 40% those with DM had elevated HbA1c. Also remarkable is 20.3% major minor electrocardiographic abnormalities. Systolic diastolic hypertension observed 14.1% 4.1% respectively, vs 18.4% hypertension. Obesity overweight 66.2% based BMI > 25kg/m2. Active former smoking rates 14.3% 24.4% active exercise (>150min/week) reported 48.5% high alcohol consumption (>25 12Oz Beer or equivalent/30days) 19.9%. subclinical outcomes were: intima-media thickness (≥0.8mm) found 2.3%, carotid plaque 6% ventricular hypertrophy (Sokolow) 1.8%. We also explored other associated stroke, heart rate rest (>70 beats per minute) 35%, premature 1.1%, prolonged QTc 0.6% 0% men women finally perceived stress scale 97% “never” “almost never” felt stressed only 2.3% “fairly often stressed”. will discuss association newer outcomes. Conclusions: These findings indicate prevalence poor awareness control cardiovascular disease outcomes, despite fact that have substantially higher education level health information than general population. reflect alarming public problems diabetes represent population, even among most educated individuals. Recurrent attendance convenient establish low cost follow-up study.
