ABSTRACT
Knowledge on a natural history of untreated ruptured intracranial aneurysms is based small historical cohort from 1960s. We calculated mortality rates for patients with using more recent and relatively large hospital cohort.Patients admitted to the study between 1968 2007 saccular but were identified aneurysm registry 6850 patients. The included only who followed up until death whom date symptom onset admission available.For 510 identified, median survival time was 20 days. 1-year rate 65%, varied substantially by delays clinical status admission, being lowest (13%) later than month after highest (89%) poor-grade 75% good-grade within week.Mortality are even worse presented in study.
