ABSTRACT
The incidence of stroke is on the rise in young adults high-income countries. However, there a gap knowledge about trends from low- and middle-income We aimed to measure ischemic (IS) intracerebral hemorrhage (IH) people 2005 2015 Joinville, Brazil.We retrospectively ascertained all first-ever IS subtypes IH that occurred Joinville periods 2006, 2010 2011, 2014 2015. Poisson regression was used calculate rate ratios strokes, IS, IH. also compared prevalence risk factors extension diagnostic work-up across 3 periods.For 10 years, we registered 2483 patients (7.5% aged <45 years). From 2006 2015, overall significantly increased by 62% (incidence ratios, 1.62; 95% confidence interval, 1.10-2.40) subjects years 29% those <55 1.29; 1.04-1.60). Incidence 66% 1.66; 1.09-2.54), but no significant change years.
