ABSTRACT
Although it is widely assumed that the incidence of childhood respiratory allergies to common aeroallergens directly related allergen exposure in early life, few longitudinal studies have investigated this issue, and available data are scarce mainly limited high-risk groups. To assess, a prospective manner general population, role life exposures Der p1 Fel d1 on inception sensitization asthma.Pregnant women their children were recruited for Asthma Multicentre Infant Cohort Study. Wheeze diagnosed asthma reported yearly questionnaires.Exposure was not positive specific test or persistent wheeze age. showed an association with all these outcomes (third vs. first tertile; odds ratio, 4.43 2.6 asthma).Dose-response relationships between may be nonlinear; minimum threshold level needed induce sensitization, but no dose-response relationship exists above level. The effect particular seems similar atopy inception.
