A case of jejunal metastasis of malignant melanoma diagnosed by oral double-balloon endoscopy

ABSTRACT
A 62-year-old female underwent resection of malignant melanoma in the right lumbar region and sentinel lymph node biopsy inguinal node, resulting a diagnosis stage IIID (pT4bN3cM0). The patient received postoperative chemoradiotherapy but developed iron deficiency anemia intermittent abdominal pain during treatment. An CT scan revealed soft tissue shadows within lumen jejunum, along with partial intestinal intussusception dilatation proximal side. enlargement surrounding mesenteric nodes was also noted. antegrade double-balloon enteroscopy identified elevated lesions black epithelium ulceration which were prone to bleeding. Pathological examination dense proliferation round atypical cells mucosal layer, brown pigment observed spores some cells. Based on these findings, diagnosed jejunal metastases melanoma.
