During a floristic study, carried out in the Parque Estadual Turístico do Alto Ribeira (PETAR), São Paulo state, Southeastern Brazil, Peperomia bernhardiana, poorly known species of Atlantic Forest, has been collected. We present an emended description based on recently collected specimens and provide color photographs fresh specimens. verified need to designate neotype for this name propose one substitute destroyed holotype.
