ABSTRACT
During field studies of the inselbergs northeastern Brazil, two potentially new species were discovered. They share morphological characters with several genera Linderniaceae (Lamiales) such as Ameroglossum, Cubitanthus and Stemodiopsis, but differences are that they do not make a good fit any known in Linderniaceae. most likely related to like members this genus plants have conserved chromosome number 2n = 60. Their exclusive occurrence on Brazil also hint at relationship, because their morphology differs greatly from Ameroglossum each other, described separate genera. Catimbaua is pendent plant somewhat similar Cubitanthus, different stem indumentum. Isabelcristinia grows habitats to, drier than, vegetatively similar. However, it covered glandular hairs has open-throated white flowers rather than red or orange tubular found Ameroglossum. pendula aromatica rare, both fall category threat.
