ABSTRACT
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the largest archipelago system in Bay of Bengal, consisting 572 islands islets. Being situated between two major biodiversity hotspots, namely Indo-Burma Sundaland Biodiversity Hotspots, endows it with an unmatched distribution plants representatives Indian, Myanmar, Malaysian Indonesian floras (Balakrishnan & Ellis 1996). Nearly 2100 species angiosperms have been reported from islands, which about 11% strictly endemic As these Equatorial belt exposed to marine impacts having a warm humid tropical climate, entire area is suitable for growth orchids. harbour 158 orchids, 23 (Karthigeyan et al. 2014, Singh 2019).
