ABSTRACT
Chamaecrista (L.) Moench is one of the largest genera Leguminosae, with about 330 species, 258 which are present in Brazil, mainly Savanna areas central portion country. The genus monophyletic and comprises six sections, including Ch. cect. Absus, biggest ca. 180 species divided into four subsections 31 series. Paniculatae series, as traditionally recognized, included 6 (12 taxa). However, it recently had its circumscription changed from a phylogenetic study that made group subordinated 13 recognized by generally large leaflets (1.5–9.3 × 1.2–9.5 cm long), orbicular, coriaceous divaricate, young branches axis inflorescences viscous flowers posterior petal similar to standard. Despite this, considering recent changes, remain scarcely known taxonomically, typification problems, poorly illustrated mapped, without conservation status. A taxonomic review ser. Paniculatae, resulted monthly collections since 2010, consult literature herbaria 26 herbaria, all types. Thirteen were described, illustrated, represented images, contrasted means key commented on morphological relationships, geographic distribution, state times flowering fruiting. In addition, updated proposed, lectotypifications.
