ABSTRACT
A new species of Mucuna from Costa Rica and Panama is described illustrated. monticola mainly known the highlands Cordilleras Guanacaste, Tilarán, Central Talamanca in Rica, particular Chiriqui area. It superficially similar to mutisiana M. killipiana, but it differs both multiple aspects its morphology unique among Neotropical pod, which larger longer with conspicuous irregular lamellae or reticulate-ridged, not constricted between seeds.
