ABSTRACT
A number of reviews have accompanied and monitored the progress molecular phylogenetic research on bryophytes, focusing publication record itself, bryophyte phylogeny systematics in era, as well evolution utility markers from different genomes. However, none recent include a detailed characterization all used phylogenetics. Here we provide an overview history current state marker utilization, including coding non-coding sequence three genomes fingerprinting approaches. The architecture evolutionary peculiarities, practical aspects such amplification sequencing strategies, are outlined for DNA markers, with focus most commonly employed regions. Their potential solving some remaining, pressing questions phylogeny, their suitability species identification by barcoding, discussed.
