A new and updated checklist of the fishes Red Sea is presented. total 1078 species belonging to154 families, 25 orders two classes are listed. The number considerably lower than that given in last (CLOFRES II, Goren Dor, 1994) which included all records, "quotations" distribution maps without distinguishing between substantiated unsubstantiated records. In addition, an annotated list provided for those were recorded unjustifiably CLOFRES II subsequent publications.
