The species-rich Ambrysus signoreti Stål species complex is diagnosed and subdivided into three sections based on morphology of the female subgenital plate. in first section, characterized by posterior margin plate with posterolateral corners extending posteriorly further than central lobe, are revised. group includes four species: two previously described from Mexico (Ambrysus cosmius La Rivers, A. schuhi Reynoso & Sites), one Costa Rica (A. variegatus Usinger), a new species, morelosensis n. sp., Mexico. description transfer mormon Montandon to guttatipennis brings total number 24 68. Also, an illustrated key this section provided. Finally, we present state records for province variegatus.
