ABSTRACT
Enchytraeus ohtakai sp. nov. (Enchytraeidae, Clitellata, Oligochaeta) was discovered in the organic matter of a wastewater treatment facility plums processing plant Honshu, Japan. The is characterized by high content and low salt concentration. Morphological analysis DNA-sequencing fragment COI barcoding gene show that new species belongs to E. albidus group. Within this group it differs in: vasa deferentia restricted XII, preclitellar bundles with mostly three chaetae, postclitellar two or three, dorsal blood vessel from XII XIII, spermathecal ectal duct completely glandular. spermatheca large diverticulum, accessory sexual glands present clitellum ventrally almost absent. individual trees recovered as monophyletic within genus Enchytraeus, closely related
