ABSTRACT
Benefits to ecosystem services may be identified and achieved through their quantification valuation. The objectives of this study were map the provisioning determine values these local community members. took place at Ejisu-Juaben district Ghana which is endowed with forests, water bodies, minerals, plants animals. used Participatory Geographic information systems (PGIS) as a tool in valuing districts Ghana. valuation was carried out based on construction preference method that sought assign places where they collect services. It indicated forest holds lots key followed by fallow, farmland grass. most important listed both low high income groups all communities mushroom, medicinal plants, bush meat, snails, honey, food (fruits), fuel wood, cane. Low group use more for commercial purposes less domestic usage across contrast group, who than purposes. results mean groups’ livelihoods depend generated from selling whilst have other alternative sources addition provision.
