ABSTRACT
Zinc (Zn) fertilization is reflected a significant agronomic strategy for global food security. Deficiency of zinc in soils could be caused to decrease the crop yield. Hence an experiment was made over two years at research farm Pulses Research Sub-Station Bangladesh Agricultural Institute (BARI), Gazipur and Regional Station (RARS), Ishwardi Jessore, during Rabi season assess sensitivity different varieties lentil Zn evaluate terms yield mineral content seed. There were 12 treatment combinations comprising six (V1 = BARI Masur-2, V2 Masur-3, V3 Masur-4, V4 Masur-5, V5 Masur-6 V6 Masur-7) levels (0 2 kg ha-1). The laid out split-plot design with three replications. Results reveal that growth, attributes varied positively by level variety. Among varieties, Masur-7 followed gave highest seed Interaction variety mean (1568 ha-1 Gazipur, 2396 Ishurdy 1639 Jashore) produced V6Zn2. improved protein (28.5% 28.9% 29% (70.2 ppm 73.6 69.9 achieved V6Zn2 treatment. result, suggest applied any quality improvement maximization terrace calcareous Bangladesh. current study recommended conducting another further monitoring determining appropriate dose production through application rates Zn- deficient soils.
