ABSTRACT
This study investigated the role of micro ribonucleic acid (miR)-129 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by examining its effects on proliferation and apoptosis, as well relationship with high-mobility group AT-hook 2 (HMGA2) target gene. Human NSCLC tissues were collected, cancerous cells normal isolated cultured. In vitro cultured transfected miR-129 mimics or HMGA2-small interfering RNA (siRNA). The expression levels HMGA2 measured using quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), while was assessed counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay. targeted regulation between examined a luciferase reporter assay system, protein determined Western blotting (WB). Flow cytometry utilized to measure apoptosis rate. exhibited significantly decreased increased compared cells. Transfection HMGA2-siRNA effectively reduced gene cells, leading apoptosis. confirmed HMGA2. summary, may suppress induce targeting expression.
