ABSTRACT
Purpose: To identify the ocular factors of microvascular fractal dimension (FD) and blood vessel tortuosity (BVT) macula measured with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in a healthy Chinese population. Methods: Healthy subjects without disorders were recruited at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center. The FD BVT superficial capillary plexus (SCP) deep (DCP) obtained from OCTA images. was calculated using box-counting method, defined as ratio actual distance between two points to straight on skeletonized image. Univariate stepwise multivariate linear regression analyses performed BVT, results are presented coefficients 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Only right eye each subject included. Results: A total 2189 individuals (2189 eyes) included mean age 49.9 ± 13.2 years; 54.4% female. In model, SCP significantly associated higher intraocular pressure (IOP) (β = 0.204; CI, 0.073–0.335; P < 0.001), axial length (AL) −0.875; −1.197 −0.552; 0.001; R2 0.26; root square error [RMSE] 7.78). DCP best-corrected visual acuity −6.170; −10.175 −2.166; 0.003) anterior chamber depth −0.348; −0.673 −0.023; 0.036; 0.10; RMSE 2.58). Superficial independently IOP −0.044; −0.079 −0.009; 0.012) AL 0.097; 0.014–0.181; 0.022; 0.15; 2.02). Deep −0.004; −0.009 −0.0005; 0.028) lens thickness 0.036, 0.003–0.060; 0.028; 0.07, 0.25). Conclusions: dependent parameters variables this also influenced by depth. These should be considered when geometrics used future studies. Translational Relevance: This work discovered influence for further establishment diagnostic model or method glaucoma other microvasculature-related diseases.
