ABSTRACT
Parkinson's disease (PD) decreases the quality of life (QoL) both caregivers and patients by increasing stress burden, it has a negative impact on their psychological state. In present study, authors examined PD-patient motor non-motor clinical symptoms health, QoL Turkish caregivers. The study included 50 with PD Patients' severity disability, symptoms, complications, sleep disturbances, anxiety, depressive were assessed various scales. Data analyzed multiple linear-regression models to identify variables associated caregiver status, QoL. Anxiety exhibited significantly affected state Caregiver burden was increased severity; patient's degree symptoms; excessive daytime sleepiness. presence dyskinesia, sialorrhea, anxiety in PD. These findings indicate that caregiving for PD, particularly those later stages, psychiatric affects QoL, burden. results can be used develop treatment approaches improve caregivers' status decrease
