ABSTRACT
This study sought to identify current practices for the treatment of patients presenting with suicidal ideation or a recent suicide attempt in pediatric emergency departments (EDs) North America.From October 10, 2018, January 19, 2020, authors conducted cross-sectional online survey on medicine chiefs practicing United States and Canada.Forty-six (34%) 136 responded survey. The three most frequent improvements reported they would like see care young were easier access mental health personnel evaluations, having take primary responsibility patient evaluation treatment, better dispositional planning.The findings highlight need EDs serve at increased risk suicide.
