ABSTRACT
In this study, the structure of guilt and shame reactions are investigated in three cultural groups (Peru, Hungary, Belgium) using two newly constructed scenario-based inventories. Results show that it is possible to distinguish between a based on person variation situation variation. Moreover, both person-based situation-based structures very similar across groups, whereas within quite different. The dimensions versus interpersonal intrapersonal orientation spanned structure, control lack appraisals subjective experiences action tendencies structure.
