ABSTRACT
Aim The aim of the study was to develop new cephalometric angles TWM (T-Tuberculum sella, W-wing point, M-maxillary point) and TWG G point-center mandibular symphysis) assess evaluate newly developed in determining maxillary sagittal position, respectively. Materials Methods Ninety pretreatment lateral cephalograms from records Department Orthodontics Dentofacial Orthopaedics were traced divided equally into three groups as class I, II, III based on values ANB angle WITS appraisal. Further for each radiograph, such SNA, TWM, SNB, measured recorded. (Maxilla) formed using points T-Tuberculum (mandible) symphysis. Results mean I group 120.1°± 3.6° 101.4 ± 3.7°, one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) used followed by Tukey post hoc testing determine whether there a statistically significant difference between groups. A p value ≤ .05 considered be significant. Pearson correlation test revealed strong SNA similarly SNB angles. Conclusion two angles, maxilla mandible established, can an alternative assessing position jaw bases will give clearer picture, stable reproducible landmarks are used.
